We've received additional reports of Slash Status Effects not functioning correctly, and we're actively working to resolve this issue! For added information, this is unintentional, and the bug is seemingly limited to just the Simulacrum currently.  For now, we're working on resolving this with a near-future Hotfix.

Hello!

We’re actually going to be reducing the multiplier on Abbreviated Abilities so that players will instead lose 50% Ability Duration, not 75%, which will allow you to have more uptime with your Abilities if you select this Personal Modifier.

Howdy, Tenno!

Over here, we’re still iterating on how best to approach reworked Statuses and Enemy Scaling. However, we’re focusing on one bite at a time, which will help inform further decisions!

Additionally, our goal is not to disrupt damage king, but to provide additional buffs to other Statuses less used.

However, we’ve noted a few questions and seek to answer them! Please remember that this is all still a work in progress and is subject to further change.

An Update on Status Effects

Magnetic (and Toxin)
As mentioned, we aim not to dethrone the established Meta. However, we believe it prudent to lift alternatives to a further viable point without dethroning the best. 

  • Toxin will likely reign, especially with plenty of raw damage. 
  • Magnetic, while likely not dethroning, provides another avenue to tackling the Corpus and their enhanced Shields!...

Howdy, Tenno!

Stalker is still getting settled in (he doesn’t like to sit still)! But, while someone goes to wrangle him back in place, Hotfixing will be paused while we add the final touches to June’s Jade Shadows Update (no thanks to Stalker teleporting around...). 

We have some Code Fixes coming with Jade Shadows (for a deeper understanding of what “Code” means, our Lexicon for Update Notes will tell you more)! Some of the issues that will be fixed are: 

  • Being unable to throw Voidrig’s Necraweb Grenade. 
  • Melee Attacks can reduce companion Overguard. 
  • Energy colors appearing incorrectly for certain Ephemeras and VFX-heavy Syandanas/etc.  Red and Black were the most obvious culprits.
  • Temporal Prime Ephemera causes Focus Badges to appear overly large.
  • Rare cases of mismatched mission rewards. 
  • Issues with Necramite waypoints n...

You may remember an experiment from 2021 with our New Player Experience in which we explored A/B testing surrounding the value of Crafting and Resources. We’re renewing this experiment but with the inclusion of iOS in addition to the rest of the Platforms! 

When it comes to reviewing our New Player Experience, we’re continuing to work on creating a clear direction for guiding players towards key story progressions. 

As such, we’re renewing our look at exploring what happens when players are introduced to weapon crafting earlier on and how this impacts the new player experience. Our goal is to give players a suggestion on what to pursue next in Warframe after finishing their first Quest.

Nightwave: Nora’s Mix Vol. 5 is coming to a close—ending on Wednesday, May 15th at 11 a.m. ET. 

However, Nightwave: Nora’s Mix Vol. 6 is a special case—releasing just hours later, on May 15th, at 2 p.m. ET!

Like previous editions of Nightwave, we will include duplicate protection for rewards you have already unlocked. Identical to Nora’s Mix Vol. 5, Tenno can expect to be compensated with Nora’s Mix Vol. 6 Creds instead of the previous unlocked reward.

With Nora’s Mix Vol. 5 closing, you’ll want to cash in your remaining Nora’s Mix Vol. 5 Creds before the end date. Leftover Nora’s Mix Vol. 5 Creds can be sold for Credits afterwards!

As we continue our pursuit of Quality of Life changes, we believe the time has come to revisit how we handle Enemy Health Types, Resistances and Weaknesses, and a few Status Effects! 

Let’s get into it! Please keep in mind that much of this is a concept and prone to further changes as we near the Jade Shadows Update.

Right now, your enemies in Warframe boasts 13 Unique Health Types. In addition, players can explore 13 Damage Types and Statuses, achieved largely through Mods or are intrinsic to your weapon. 

Now, each Health Type is resistant to a few Status Damage Types and weak to another few.

  • Fixed only the first round of Exolizers spawning in the Void Cascade stage of the Angels of Zariman Quest, preventing players from progressing in the Quest.

Hello again!

We have resolved the issue on our end, and it'll be included in a Hotfix soon this week - the Archon Hunt part of The New War Quest should no longer freeze your UI when the Hotfix deploys!
